There are two groups that 'worship' satan.

The first group are generally teenagers who are attempting to rebel against their parents' religion and establish a sense of self. These are the dangerous ones because they are still defining 'self' and are thus morally incapable of comprehending 'other' fully, thus, empathy is poorly developed.

The second group are your organized groups, of which the most prominent is the Church of Satan. These groups do NOT believe in the literal Satan of the Yahweh cults. They use him as a symbol of an atheistic philosophy that exaults man because of his imperfections, instead of crushing him for them as do the yahweh cults. They view the symbol of satan as a symbol of living one's life to the full. They point out that they don't actually worship satan because they don't believe he actually exists.

Nah, most people don't realise that Jimmy Page has dyslexia, thus when he said that Zeppelin worshipped Satan, he really meant they worshipped Santa.

Why not... if there are people in this world who likes to eat apples, there will also be people who do not like to eat apples. If there are people in this world who believe a god does exist, there will also be people who do not believe a god exists. If there are people in this world who will worship god, there will be people who worship satan in this world.

In the end, everyone has their own reason by choice or not. Either born the way they were or choosing a life style different from who they are.

Satan is a deceiver, and he comes as an angel of light. He blinds people and they don't realize what they are doing until it is too late. If people would read their Bibles and understand that he comes to deceive, so he can take as many as he can to hell. He don't care about anyone, but himself. I suggest you read the book: HE CAME TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE. You will understand why people worship him.
