Athletes foot can be contracted anywhere there is a dampness and you go barefoot. This includes public swimming pools, public changerooms and gym locker rooms. Well young man first you need to stop doing athletics (you could maybe join a nice pottery class or better still flower arranging...anyway) where is the fun in trying to cure athletes foot with these very good answers by the helpful yahoo folk.
what you should do is let your athletes foot grow (best tip for that is keep it warm and wash twice - but don't dry - twice daily ) that should do the trick and then instead of asking questions on yahoo you'll be on one of those medical documentaries which will probably be called 'The boy who grew some athletes feet'.

Well some people say you can pee on it but i'm not sure if that would work. I know that there's a very good cream called Daktarin and if you use it for a few weeks your athletes foot should go away. You can buy Daktarin at most pharmacies. They have a few different types and you would probably need a pescription for the stronger ones.

Athlets foot, yummy, I've had that alot when I went to boarding school! small red spot, itchy and sore at times, the skin going damp and dry.
there are sprays, powders and jells for it. The jell is good to put on when you go to bed and wake up in the morning and had a shower. use the powder when you put on socks so your feet dont sweat up to badly. be careful that you dont get the athletes foot spreading to your hands. Lways wash your hands clean after touch or treating your foot. a week or some more should be enough if you treat it properly, and avoice shoes if you can, I dont care what other say, but for me shoes will just make you sweat and make it grow. and btw, dont let anyone use your sandals!!
*oh btw. sprays suck!

Foot soaks in water with a splash of vinegar can help, morning and evening, followed by a good antifungal foot cream. The garlic answer sounds interesting and might be worth a go....

Sounds like athletes foot. I'm sure you will be drying in between your toes and not wearing the same shoes twice in a row?
I went to see a chiropodist and he told me to go to Boots and get Lamsil - I paid £28 for him to tell me that!

I know it sounds daft but try garlic!! Crush a clove and smear the oil onto your washed foot, morning and bedtime for about a week. Garlic is a natural antifungal, antibacterial agent and it WORKS.

they have a lotion that is called cornhuskers - it is a gel and used to heal trouble skin and I found it does this well. it will also stop itching and burning and and also helps protect the skin if used often. after washing your feet apply this and allow it to work through the night and use it every night until the problem is fixed then you should be able to do this every other night for as long as you encounter hot weather where your feet sweat.
