Just be careful and very aware of stuff that you're putting on your skin. Your skin on your entire body is one huge sponge. It soaks up anything you put on it and absorbs it into your system.

When you apply the sunless tanning lotion, be sure to overlap your strokes so you don't have racing stripes.'

Is that the same thing as self tanning lotion? If so, it's not harmful and there are some great products on the market now. They are basically moisturisers with a small amount of the tanning process in them. Olay, Jergens and Neutrogena to name a few - and they give a really natural tan.

No, it's not harmful, it's just a temporary coloring of the skin similar to a temporary hair dye. Some lotions however, don't look natural, turning your skin an orange hue.
