But Jesus IS God, and Peter was right.

2 things. 1) Jesus is the Lord and 2) By not correcting Peter, Jesus would have to tell Peter that he is not a sinful person when he was sinful. Peter needed to make the decision to follow Christ and no one can make that choice for him.

Jesus was the father the son and the holy ghost.
Just as I am a wife, a mother and a daughter.
I am not three seperate people but simply have 3 different titles.
The bible says that God put on a robe of flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory the glory "as of" the only begotten of the father.
The scripture tells us that Jesus was the son of God.
Yet the bible says that Mary was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Is God the father of Christ or Is the Holy Ghost?
This scripture tells us that God and the Holy Ghost are one in the same.
Who is coming back for the church?
the scriptures plainly tell us that it is Christ.
yet, I believe it is in titus chapter 3 ( I don't have my bible right here)
speaking of the second coming,
where it says" looking for the great hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and saviour Jesus Christ.
This scripture clearly says that God and Jesus are one in the same.
Also , when jesus ascended into heaven he said " go forth teaching all nations baptizing them in the "name" of the father and of the son and of the holy ghost. If you search the scriptures you will find that the only baptism ever performed was done in "the name of Jesus" or in the "name of the lord Jesus christ"
You will not find where the disciples actually baptized in the titles of " father ,son and holy Ghost". although many churches baptize that way today. He said to baptize them in the NAME and i believe that is exactly what he meant and that is what the disciples did.
therefore the Name of the Father , Son and Holy Ghost is Jesus.
I believe the only God that you will ever see will be in the bodily form of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God, He is God in the flesh:

Luke 22:66-71 (New International Version)
Jesus Before Pilate and Herod
66 At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and teachers of the law, met together, and Jesus was led before them. 67 "If you are the Christ," they said, "tell us."
Jesus answered, "If I tell you, you will not believe me, 68 and if I asked you, you would not answer. 69 But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God."

70They all asked, "Are you then the Son of God?"
He replied, "You are right in saying I am."

71Then they said, "Why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips."

Note: Jesus identified Himself with God by using a familiar title for God found in the Old Testament: "I am" (Exodus 3:14). The high priest recognized Jesus' claim and accused Him of blasphemy. For any other human this claim would have been blasphemy, but in this case it was true.

Jesus gave Peter a chance to acknowledge Peter's mistake. It's true Peter has sinned, but he could have not sinned if he had chosen not to, because he had free will. There's was no need for Jesus to correct him because it's correct that Peter has sinned.

Peter realized that he had greed in his heart when all the fish were being brought into his boats. He was going to be a rich man.

Then it hits him like a ton of bricks. All of these fishermen knew the Word of God through their daily readings. They all were in expectation of the Messiah arrival.

Peter through the gifts of the Holy Spirit of God became aware of the Son of God beside him in his boat.

Peter confesses that he is not worthy and asked for forgiveness,

There was no need to correct. All that was needed was for Jesus Christ to say Follow Me.><>

Why do you assume he was calling him God? There are other meanings for the word lord that WERE applicable to Jesus. You people are the ones that want him to be a God.

Correct him on what? Jesus is rightly called Lord, but Lord does not mean God.

Well, I believe in God but I know you're a sinner without even meeting you just because everyone is. You don't have to be God to know that. If anyone said to anyone else "No, you're not a sinner!" they'd be lying.
