Although not especially dark, Newcastle is my favorite beer. Anchor Steam is another that isn't a very dark beer but is great.

yuengling black and tan is actually more like a porter in taste. It has that colour and malt profile. It's a descent beer. I consider Yuengling almost like a one size fits all beer. It's traditional/plain enough for crappy beer drinkers to enjoy...and has enough fullness and flavour for a beer snob to at least tolerate. There are so many wonderful beers out there....some of my favorites are Sam Smith's Oatmeal stout......magic hat number 9.....victory hop devil......beemish.....Bodding... even enjoy a nice and mild Red Stripe on ocassion.

Saranac Black and Tan-must be served room temp. Also, Sam Adams used to make a chocolate stout that was pretty decent. You could definitley taste the chocolate notes.
