It's probably an allergy or bug bite, rather than poison ivy. Dog do not get poison ivy.

More than likely what you are seeing is a staph infection. Very common in dogs. She will need antibiotics to clear it up. Then if she gets it again you may want to put her on a hypo allergenic diet to rule out food allergies. Dogs have 3 allergies, inhalant, contact, and food. It's cheaper to rule out food first. Or she may be having a reaction to a bug bite. You can safely give her 1mg per pound of benadryl. Twice a day until Tuesday. If it doesn't clear up see your vet for diagnosis. Benadry may cause her to be sleepy but won't cause any side effects that can harm her. It's used for many things in the vet world. From allergies, to snake bites.

benadryl allergy medication the liquid you give to kids. estimate her weight correctly and put it in her food. If it's poison ivy that will clear it up. Also clean it well with oatmeal soap. Be careful not to spread it to yourself. Good luck.
And poison ivy in people or dogs is nothing more than an allergic reaction.

Calamine lotion. The old fashioned pink stuff. It should be at your drug store. It is also ok to give a dog a children's benadryl. That will make her sleepy, but will ease the itching.

I have a dog who has allergies to everything and my vet told me to use Aveno oatmeal bath and also to give her Benadryll.

She may have an allergy to a dog soap... your vet can prescribe her something, please try not to put any human creams on her.
