You can go to www.belarc.com --it is an excellent free software I think by an government agency that will take a picture of your entire system.

Includes serial # for your windows platform, serial # for all hardware & their names.

All software programs loaded in your system an all patches you have downloaded from Microsoft. If you are missing any patches it will direct you to Microsoft for the critical updates you are missing.

Especialy an excellent program if you ever have to take your pc into repair. Because you will have a print out of all hardware, software and serial #'s. So you will know if the tech., changed good hardware for bad hardware, etc. etc.

download a free program called swi run it and it will tell you the product key

for XP right click the "my Computer icon and get properties, for Word Etc. open word and go to help then down to bottom for more info
