I've heard em called 'dingle-balls', but don't know the spanish name for em...the hat itself is called a 'sombrero', worn with a poncho and the obligatory crossed bandoleers and other assorted riding gear. You MUST be a tequila drinker to wear the sombrero, sorry.

now a days, its just dried chilies, when the mexicans would go on long journeys in the heat, they'd hang chili there to dry and then use it for cooking.
..but reall really REALLY long ago, whent he mexicans where in the wild, hunting those monkeys, they'd rip of the testies fromthe monkey they killed and hang them on their hat to dry, and thus show everyone how brave and Manly they were.

I think they represent something that illegals don't have. ;) They don't have those, they don't have a sense of responsibility, and they don't have respect for the country that they are entering into illegally.
