Last night some really cute dude gave me his phone number. He was the waiter at the restruant, and he gave my mom his phone number to give to me. Well, I dont know if I should call him or not.

I have several Friends with daughters who have experienced this same scenario. occurrimng while they were eating out at both casual & foraml restaurants! He's a player. It's a game These guys play in the restaurant industry. Females who work in the industry are aware of it because the guys talk! He thinks it will go over because he did it by giving his number to your mom almost asking for permission to play....then he believes he has more leverage with you because after all your mom was there to approve and wasn't it sweet???? NOT!!! , the correct thing to do would have been for him to ask your mom, say perhaps I think your daughter is attractive, nice I'd like to take her out is it OK if I call her. I know this is not what you want to hear but it is one HUGE game they play don't fall for it. If, it's not you--- it's going to be the next good looking girl that comes in with or without her mom! They do keep score of not only how many girls actually call them but how many they get to another base with! Sorry, but it is the truth!

Are you interested in him? Do you want to call him? If yes, then call him, if not, then don't. What is so difficult that it warranted you seeking other peoples' opinions? At least he was polite enough to give the number to your mother. Are you ashamed that he is a waiter? Maybe he would be better off without you.

Well if he gave the number to your mom, and she was fine with that, and trusted him enought to give it to you, then go for it.
