The Bible says, without the shedding of Blood there is no remission for sin. Without remission of sin there is no escape from Hell. Whether you agree or not, that is a BIG DEAL.

RE:
What's the big deal with the shedding of blood? People always say Jesus died on the cross for you.?
Shouldn't it be Jesus shed his blood for you? that seems to be the big deal, the PRICE THAT WAS PAID, but I shed more blood than he did when I stepped on a huge piece of glass yesterday, really. He should've been prone and stabbed in the stomache or something similar, right?

I think it's time for a new you. Why don't you consider moving away? Research a place you've always wanted to live, and go there. A fresh start can help you. And since no one knows you there you won't have to worry about peoples judgement on you.Reinvent yourself with a new look, or some new clothes, haircut, color, whatever you need to do to make yourself feel hot! Don't kill yourself, you would really be missing out on good potential experiences. I know you said you aren't feeling the coulseling thing but I think you should consider it. The therapist could help you be more confident and maybe even help with that feeling of hoplessness. I sincerely hope things get better for you. And if you ever just want a friend to chat with email me.

First thing first, The person shedding this blood left behind His body as God The Second member of the Godhead and took on A human body like yours in fact He still has it when He arose from The dead He kept His human body FOR ALL TIME not just when He was here, the big deal is that He died IN YOUR PLACE, and He died the second death YOU will die unless you meet the conditions in which forgiveness and eternal life is offered, He gave what no one could take, and He died a supernatural death on top of that, In the book of Matthew, he cried out twice "my God My God why have you forsaken me" A person dieing can not do that Jesus did that to let everyone know He was giving His life NO MAN took it, free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com and He was as you put it stabbed, His side was periced with that spear of the gaurd, God bless you always, "For GOD "SO" Loved the world [you] that He gave [Jesus gave Himself] that if YOU will BE-LIVE in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" "IF" you love me keep my commandments" If you love Him enough to keep His commandments you will be in Heaven with us if not you won't its that simple. Hay try out A Seventh Day Adventist Church in your area this Sabbath [Saturday] morning, and again God bless you

Are you kidding, he did not just get hung on a cross, he has thorns shoved in his head, he was wipped 39 times with cat of nine tails (rope with glass and bones) it was agains the law in those days to beat someone 40 times because it was lethal. Before they wipped Jesus they dipped the cat of nine tails in goats blood to act like a glue, So that it wouldn't just beat him but the cat of nine tails would stick to him as the ripped it off of him. The spit on him and they jabbed him over and over again the whole time he had to carry the cross to where he was fixing to get hung on it. Yes he did all this for you. The only thing that could pay for the sins that we comment had to be death, and that is what Jesus did for us. He payed our price. He made away for us to spend eternity with him when we die. I think this is a little more then stepping on glass.

Either concept is good for communicating the sacrifice, but just saying that He "shed His blood" might not communicate the fact that He actually died.
BTW, how do you think you shed more of your own blood by stepping on a piece of glass? Please re-read the torture and crucifixion account (of Jesus' death). Seems to me it was a really bloody event.
Beaten, beaten, beaten, whipped, scourged, crown of thorns, beaten, crucified (hung for 6 hours at least), stabbed in the chest. And you out-did this with a little piece of glass? Please.

um... okay...
i recommend watching the passion of the christ to see a small scale interpretation of the physical suffering.
just imagine how you feel when you know you've done something really wrong, or hurt someone, or know you influenced something bad happening. Let's relate those feelings to what sin actually is.
Alright. All those sins and feelings from every person that was living, the sins from those who died while serving God, and all those sins from persons who would live were all placed on Him. Just think of the mental and physical stress of that. He took on all of that giving people opportunity to accept Him.
But if trivializing is the name of the game, let's have at it.

Jesus shed his blood for our sins so that we would be guarenteed a way into heaven and was killed because he wouldn't give into the philosophies of the Roman churches and wouldn't deny who he was. When He was hung on the cross, he was done so in accordance with the prefered method of exocution of the day.

God required a sinless Lamb to perform that act of sacrifice for us. That's the big deal with the shedding of blood. He became sin for us. Now be happy and tell him Thank You.

You need to study the Judaic law regarding the blood of a spotless lamb, used as the sacrifice and attonement for sin.
Jesus, The Lamb of God, permanently fulfilled the law. Where the blood of animals attoned for sin, the blood of Christ washes sin away.
