I'm afraid that my son will be corrupted by it.

My son is in public school and I can't afford anything else because of the Godless Liberals blocking school vouchers for all citizens.

People with morals don't want a god-hater in their child's life.

I found out about this teacher's Atheism by asking around. He doesn't go around talking about it in class.

There is no such thing as an atheist, no matter what the teacher says. If someone were to come into that school or into his home with a loaded Uzi and threaten to kill him, putting the gun to his head, he would be begging God to save his life. Besides, if you have raised your child right in the eyes of the Lord, then he will never stray from it, just like the Bible says. Do you not have faith in your own faith or in our God? Your child is old enough to make his own choices when it comes to something so serious, so unless you have not raised him strong enough to choose the right side, then there is nothing you can do.

You have nothing to worry about. There is nothing you can do with this situation except to stay out of it and mind your business. I know that seems like a difficult concept for you; you seem like the meddling type that attempts to convert anybody that thinks differently than you. Your son will probably not be "corrupted", because Atheists seem to keep their beliefs to themselves better than Christians do. I'm not an Atheist, by the way, I just don't see why some people are so threatened by other religions. As American citizens, the First Amendment gives us freedom of religion, amongst other things. And not all liberals are Godless, just so you know.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

I do not support school vouchers, NOR DO I CONSIDER MYSELF A GODLESS LIBERAL.

Perhaps you should examine your beliefs and attitude before you condemn someone. What kind of example are you setting for your child? You found out about this by asking around.... let's call it what it is.... you were gossiping.

"Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor" (Exodus 20). When you repeat something you heard from someone else, or share a story where you're not 100% certain the facts are correct, or even share information about another person that will only bring them harm and not good, you are bearing false witness against them. Since the second greatest commandment is "Love your neighbor as yourself," you would be breaking that one as well by gossiping.

Now who is the "corrupter"??

Get your information straight before condemning this person. Also, you might want to get your facts straight on the "wonders" of school vouchers.

There is nothing you can do about your sons teacher being an atheist , everyone has a right to there own beliefs. as for your son being corrupted I doubt the teacher is going to push theyre beliefs onto your son , if they do then report the teacher. If your not satisfied with that then have your sons teacher changed not much else you can do. hope this helped have a good day and good luck.

It's said that eavesdroppers hear no good of themselves. And people who snoop around may learn things that are none of their business.

If the teacher is competent, that is all you need to know. Teachers will not express personal opinions (religion or politics) in the classroom. Calling your son's attention to this situation will only make it more volatile, and possibly turn the boy into an unhealthy little snitch, listening for anything he might use against his teacher. Besides, as a parent, your job is to teach him tolerance, not bigotry.

I'll bet you'd get in a swivet if the teacher was gay, too. Believe me, these things do not "rub off" on kids. If you have taught your son sound values, trust him to adhere to them, and stop concernng yourself with the personal lives of others.

Read the Bible with your child. Since you have a Son, Proverbs is probably a GREAT place to start. God, through your child will make it so that teacher can DO NOTHING to your child. As a matter of fact, your child will change that teacher.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

A person's belief or non-belief in religious beliefs do not influence a child as long as he does not brainwash your child that this is the way we should all think. However, religious fanatics do that a lot more than atheist. Your son needs to understand morality; not at all religious beliefs because often the most religious person can be the most immoral person and the most atheist person can be kind and loving as a person. Therefore, don t base yourself on religious or non-religious dogma. Rather , base your opinion of people on their kindness to humanity.

Are you serious? How could your son be corrupted by an Atheist? Perhaps this is a perfect opportunity for your and your son to face the fact that some people don't believe in the existance of God, and learn to deal with it in a manner that allows you to enjoy your beliefs and your teacher to enjoy his.

I for one fully believe in Jesus and God.As for atheists,I don't agree w/some of their views. But that doesn't mean that they are not fully capable of teaching a child.Trust me sweetie,it won't be the teacher that corrupts your kid.Just twisted wierdos that think anyone who doesn't live the way they do is not human or deserving of respect. What would God say if you asked Him that question? Hey,did you hear about that long haired dude that really ticked off all the priests and rabbis cause he took the attention away from them? They had him killed.

If his teacher is openly teaching them about atheism in the class, than that teacher can be fired wheather it's a public or private school. If the teacher isn't talking about it, than your son shouldn't pick any of it up.

That's why separation of church and state exists.

The teacher has gone through years of college and training to teach your child.
Don't discount them as a teacher because of their beliefs.
If she/he trys to sway or discourage students from their faith, then take action.

I hope you dont down talk the teacher because of this around your son. He may end up being a disrespectful student.
