I was going to flush it down the toilet - would that be bad?- would I go to hell?

I originally was gonna put some peanut butter on it and have a snack, - but my friend said that would be offensive.

So.. your buddy seems to find it offensive that you'd eat it as a snack, but he finds no harm in you flushing it?

But which denomination did you steal it from? Most churches believe that it's merely a symbol and, since it is only a symbol to them, why should they care what you do with it? But if you took it from a Catholic service, they believe that it is the true body and blood of Jesus Christ. Not debating appologetics here or anything.

The matter is this: you stole the supposed body of Christ to flush down the toilet. Is that bad? To a Christian, yes. Will you go to hell? Well, if there is one, you'd be on a fast track there. There's always the chance for salvation, though, so I'm not saying that you will.

Why would you do such a thing anyway?

You need to return to the church and return what you stole. I am very hopeful that the priest/minister will be a forgiving person as God has instructed. You need to do this for you as much as for your friendship. Please do not flush consecrated host down the toilet as common feces/garbage. You would not feel good about this. In the outside chance that you did so, please go to the priest and ask forgiveness. Sin no more! I don't think you are going to hell, but if you have the chance to redeem this action, please do so. The guilt you are feeling is a little voice called "conscience". I need to ask this, do you have enough to eat? Your friend's church should be able to hook you up with some food if you need it. If that is why you stole it, I believe God can use this as a lesson in your life. If the priest is not understanding and won't give penance or even listen to you, please e-mail me back. It's important to talk to someone when those we trust won't give us the time of day. I can help you locate counseling services who are not closed minded. By the way, I can also help you locate a local food bank if that is the issue. God bless you. Your conscience is being your guide right now. Never stop listening.

When I was a kid I was told by someone Catholic that if a person who hadn't taken catechism and had not had first communion put the host in their mouth that it would burst forth in a bloody mess. Liars! Catholics aren't the only church that has communion wafers and wine breaks! Oh but yet I have never taken communion. By the time I was old enough I was smart enough to see through it all.

The host is not blessed, so you can eat it. It's only a sin if you think and know you did wrong. Get it.

Priests have to eat the remainder of the hosts that were blessed before communion if he took too many for the people accepting the host that ceremony. Catholics anyway

You are a very funny person. If you're really lucky, it wasn't consecrated. If it had been, you would probably be hunting for a Priest and not on here typing out your crap.

NOTE TO ALL: Host...is the bread and wine that becomes consecrated into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ at the celebration of Mass and the Eucharist.

If you ate it, the end result for the host wouldn't be any different than for people who believe that it is actually the Body of Christ, or at least a symbolic representation of it. The physical material would end up in the toilet, eventually, although they'd themselves be changed inside, in a way you wouldn't understand

The end result for YOU, however...yeah, I'd worry about that.

Depending on the Faith.

If you are Catholic...and, it is catholic host. You should eat it.

If you are not Catholic...and, it is Catholic host you can return it, or bury it in the ground. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Episcopal: If you are baptised, you can consume it...if not, you can return it...or again bury it in the earth.

I hope that helps,
Stephanie

You answered another question that said something like you didn't believe in the Bible or GOD so what difference does it make what you do with it? You'll go to HELL for what you have done that we don't know about. You sound evil!
