Sounds like allergies. A lot of people have this, though, so you're in good company. When you're asleep, your body is reclining, so all the fluids from nasal passages drain to your sinus cavity, and when you sit up in the morning, your body has to clean it out.

I used to have this problem alot when I woke up in the mornings. Come to find out I allergic to my blanket, which was a down comforter and my pillows which were feather as well... They sell alternatives to thse, and they are more comfortable in my opinion. After swtiching I still had some congestion and allergies and I moved my bed and found some mold growing on the wall/ in the wall, so sometimes that is the case too. It could be making you sick, get your room checked for mold spores.

Allergies is a possibility, but they're seasonal, so for the rest of the year, it could be the material your bedding is made of. check it and switch if neccessary.
One other possibility: maybe you're cold. If i happen to kick off the covers at night, I cough in the morning, and sneeze sometimes with it.

It sounds like allergies. The best way to find out is go to an Allergist and they can pinpoint exactly what you are allergic to. If you can't afford the DR. visit, try different OTC allergy meds till you find what works for you. Good Luck.

When you sleep, the fluids from your sinuses settle in you sinus cavities and when you wake you it starts to move around. you have small hairs in your nose and when the fluid moves over it, it irritates it and causes a sneeze. when it runs down your throat, it causes your cough reflex to react because its draining down your throat. blow your nose good, it will be better in a bit. to avoid it from happening, sleep with your head elevated on a thicker pillow or use a cool air mist humidifier and it will dry the fluids without dryin out your nose.
