Nonsense. You 'self' can be altered in many ways - through violent injure to the brain (complete personality change can result) through administration of drugs both legal and illegal, through illness either mental of physical. And of course your 'self', the person you are now is not the same person you will be in five years time. We all alter as we go through life. Being your 'self' is an illusion.
