i am a 13 year old girl and want to really play golf but golf is a really expensive sport and my mom already has trouble paying the bills on time so i don't think we have enough money to buy equipment and pay for lessons, any advice?
i really want to play golf but i dought i will ever get a chance because i can't afford it, i need help!!!

Check in your area to see if anyone offers a "First Tee" program. Like many other suggested, try local golf courses and schools with golf programs and see if they can use some help. Many garage sales have golf clubs really cheap. Don't give up, I could not afford it when I was 13 either, but eventually got to where I could!

I play golf for my school, so one of my tips is to check out a used sports store (like Play It Again Sports) and you can by the clubs you need for pretty cheap. As for getting lessons, if you school doesn't have a golf problem, try and find a family friend who plays golf, and see if they can help you a little.

Try to get your hands on a putter and maybe a pitching wedge or a nine iron. You can go to any golf course and practice all day for free! If you need balls, sneak on a course just before dark and start poking around the bushes, you'll find some lost ones. When you are 16, get a job at a course, at mine we offer free golf to all of our employees.

Can't help you raise money, but you can often find good used equipment at thrift stores (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc). Also, you don't really need a full set of clubs starting out--just a driver, 3, 6, 9 irons and putter. You can add more later as you get money and decide whether you like golf.
Another option is to talk to your local teaching pro at a local public course. They often have collections of lost/found clubs and sometimes they give these away.
As for green fees, that is harder. When you get old enough to take a job, look at working for a country club or your city parks dept. Sometimes they offer complimentary greens fees to employees.

If you're that desperate to play golf than go get a stick and rock and knock out someone that does have the equipment. Then tell them a heart felt story about how you can't efford an operation for a brain tumor or something so you just randomly swing at things and forget what you are doing. Then tell them that this tragedy should be stopped and hit them again. While they're unconsious and/or confused steal their clubs and run of screaming about your brain tumor that can now be paid for with their high performance golf equipment.

Look for an inexpensive 9 hole course. You might also be able to get a job at a golf course. You could exchange your services for rounds of golf. You could also get a putter and perhaps a pitching wedge and you can practice at most courses for free. By the time you could afford to play you would be wonderful because putting and chipping are the most important.

Talk to the golf pro at your local course and see if there are any odd jobs you can do around the course in exchange for lessons, green fees, or range balls. If you really want to play bad enough you can find a way. And if you don't have any luck with one pro, try another.

golf is very expensive look for a set of clubs at a garage sale for like $10 also alot of people throw away old blade iorn which are grat to learn how to hit with cavity back's. get some golf balls go to a field near you house and hit a wedge or something. also if you live near a golfsmith store yahoo maps see if there is one around you they have a free driving range iside and you can use there equipment for free and hit top of the line clubs and buckets of balls for free.

You are 16 years and your girl friend is just 13. You have a only difference between 3 years so i don't thing so that there may aroused any problem between you. You are a little bit older than her so please give her some times to thinking about you.

check garage sales and yard sales for used golf equipment... and maybe you can babysit to build some money for lessons ...check with your high school and see if they have a golf team for girls...also some colleges have course and charge nothing or very little to play...the community college near me has one and it is free to play
