I caught a 20 lb Carp up in Michigan when I was 13 years old. It was 35 inches long. The largest "gamefish" I ever caught and landed was a 27 1/2 inch Northern Pike at Houghton Lake, Mi. but it only weighed 4 or 5lbs. I did hook into a Muskie once at Wixom Lake in Michigan that I can only guess about. All I'll say is he was a lot larger than the pike I mentioned. Unfortunately he rolled up on my line and busted it.

6 1/2 lb Large mouth Bass at about 4 a.m. in Buckhorn, Ontario, Canada. About 18 years ago.
Me and the family had gone there for the pickerel fishing (the best tasting fish ever!) on opening night.
Unfortunately it was one week before Bass season opened, so I had to put it back it the water. I wouldn't have eaten it anyway, but it was surely a PRETTY fish!

You know these stories are not true. haha My husband was in the field and stream mag when he was 11. He caught the biggest small mouth bass in Ohio. Something like that. My husband loves to fish and is fishing right now. I will let you guys know his fish story about the one that got away when he returns.
