Make sure you talk to him about some stuff that he's interested in, or you guys have in common. Like if he plays basketball ask him how the game went or something. Get him talking about himself.

Don't force it. Talk about natural things the popl into your mind. If nothing pops up, catch on to something he says, and be interested in it honestly, and just laugh and respond. I quarantee, he may be surprised, but he will also be pleased and the two of you will start a small conversation. Then he's do the same with something you say... and the beat goes on. If it happens this way, you two are naturals. If not, maybe you should have a few blind dates and find someone who this works with. At least... good luck.

Men like to think whether u believe it or not. Ask him relationship questions, not about the two of u, but ones in general. Like why do men cheat? umm...what would a perfect date be? He will love it if you talk about sports, I know it maybe a pain, but he'll love it. the main thing is you got to have fun with this or you'll both get bored and it will die out.

Listen and ask questions when he talks to you by showing interest.
So many of us girls get involved in chatting and guys really don't. I think talking about your mutual interest and things you want to know about eachother. They say the best way to make a friend is to let them talk about themselves, I think it would really make him happy to find out you truly are interested in him, his thoughts and what he has to say! Bravo to you for not wanting to talk sex with him, you sound mature and real and good hearted, so I hope this helps and kudos to you! Good luck!

Talk about him. Everyone's favorite topic of conversation is himself.

Find out what he likes. Then learn about it if you don't already. Find out what's important to him.
