Because to some, they go there to meet people. To others it is a weekly fashion show. Others actually go to learn something about that black book on the counter that everyone is interested in, but few know so little about.
I guess it depends on what you want. I guess, for the most part, a church has people pursuing a common goal, so you aren't confronted with the same hodge podge that might be prevalent in a bar or a night club. Maybe that is what those people are trying to steer you toward??

I don't get it either, because some of the biggest hypocrites are in church. If you got to the club Saturday night. the same drunken loose women will be all prim and proper in church the next day. The best way to meet someone you like is being out doing what YOU like to do. If you meet someone with the same interest as you the relationship has a better chance of lasting.

Presumably because the people that attend live their beliefs and share your religion, but you could bump into someone that is also going there to meet someone which would reduce church to the equivalent of a dating site. Just go to church if you would normally do so;don't go looking for a mate. You will find the right one when the time comes. I met my first two boyfriends while walking down the street. They both said hi and walked me to where I was going then asked for my number. When it's meant to be, it will be.

It all depends on what kind of people you want to meet. If you want to meet people that are trying to do right you would be at the right place. But if you want to meet a bunch of crack smoking porn star hookers, church would not be the place to find that.

1 You are more likely to meet someone committed to family and religion in a church than in a bar.
2 Perhaps you just aren't interested in the girls in your congregation and you need to visit another Church.

It depends on what type of people you are looking to meet. It's easy to pick someone up at a bar too... but is that the kind of girl you would want to spend your life with?

Church goers usually have values and morales. When you meet people in bars or at parties they are usually drunks, druggies, immature or (sorry to say this but it's my opinion) man or woman are ho's.

They say that because people who value God and whatnot enjoy other people who value God and church is where they all like to be.
You probably don't believe it because you don't value God and whatnot as much as they do.
