So long story short I'm 18, he's 13 and I found some weed in his room (He actually took a lock box out of my room, that I was using, put the stuff that was in it in a random spot in my room, and hid it in his room with the stuff in it...smooth).

So my question is this, should I confront him? My parents? Let my parents eventually find out on their own? I'm also heading off to college in 17 days, I don't want these last 17 days to be awkward as hell, should I wait till I leave?

Confront your brother first, see if he actually listens and gets rid of it. If he doesn't, tell your parents.

No, don't you dare wait. Tell your Mom and Dad now. He is only 13 now, what will happen when he is older, crack, ecstasy?
Advise your parents now.......you are the oldest child and they will respect for warning them of what is to come. So what is you have some awkward 17 days, by telling your parents you will be helping your young brother. He needs help and I mean right now.
You know that what he is doing is wrong, what if after you leave and your parents find it on their own, and your brother blames you. How are you going to defend yourself? It will be a disservice
to leave your parents without knowing.

Go right now young man, be the responsible person you seem to be and tell your parents. I hope your brother straightens up.
And, not to forget you, may your days in college be fruitful.
God will give you strenght you need to talk to your parent.
Let me know how it goes. OK?
Mom of 4.

Absolutly not, you should talk to your parents right away. Marijuana is a gateway drug, and that is your baby brother. Your parents have the right to know. Drugs are bad no matter what age you start. He might be mad at you at first but, eventually he will thank you. Dont wait till you leave let him know that you care about him enough to get him help.

Once you leave for college you won't be around to watch out for your brother. Let him know now that you know and the weed is down the toilet. Let him know that either he talks to your parent's or you will do it for him. Just hope that since it is in YOUR lockbox, you don't take the blame for it. If mom or dad find it first and it is in your box. You might be wanting to leave for college sooner.

First Confront the sibling and tell them to confess to parents. Weed is the gateway drug and I don't want to hear people say it isn't because they smoke it and are in denial anyway. If nothing is done about it now, it can lead to other drugs and terrible behaviors. That is what screws up society, jails over crowded and screwed up divorces. -Eventually a nasty situation will arise in the future.

Not really sure. If you feel like it would be awkward, then I would wait to confront him. But if not I would confront him. I dont know if I would tell your parents though. Maybe you should try talking to him first. And if it happens again then I would take it further.

I think you should replace it with oregano hehe. No, just kidding...but if you have a strong bond with your brother, don't tell your parents. Just ask him about it and see if he really wants to throw away some useful braincells. Maybe show him the negative outcomes of using weed and it might scare him out of it? If not, there's nothing you can really do except take it away from him.

Steal that **** and sell it!

actually, I would probably confront him personally but not your parents. Tell him how stupid it is because of the cost of weed. And then tell him that being stoned is cool, but it makes you weird when you grow up and because of that, you'll have an STD by the time you're 19. Freak him out of doing it.

tell your brother first and see what he says , whatever he says should make your decision on whether telling your parents.. and if you decide to tell your parents.. tell him that you don't want to be the bad guy but that you just want him to be protected and hes young and that sooner or later many bad things coyuld happen by just doing drugs.. weed could eventuually turn into other drugs.. that could influence his life in a negative way... trust me .. heres a site you may wanna check out.. http://www.drugfree.org/

13 and smoking pot......you know where it leads so hell yes you confront his *** and tell him to man up and tell parents or you do it because dammit you love the little tard and don't want him to end up a stoner in high school flushing his life away with his bong water. If no one does that for him what future does he have.
