I would look close at that bedspread you love and pull a color from there - or I'd go to a fabric store and find a piece of fabric that I love and pull the wall color from that and accessorize in the other colors that are on the fabric. Don't forget you can always paint one wall a dramatic color for drama and texture can be a good thing so don't be afraid to try a paint with a texture or atechnique to look like texture.

if you want it to be relaxing and spa like a green tea, or pastel jade color would be pretty, if you like tropical like an orange shade. i painted my bathroom turquoise and decorated it with gold stuff and it feels like a queen or princess room,my sons room is a kelly green with white trimming its really cute its not dark at all.and my other sons room is 4 different colors each wall is different color check out the better homes and gardens web sight in the slide show section or ikea website in the catalog section there is allot of ideas in there

A pale yellow color looks good for a bedroom, not too pale though, you want to be able to see it. It's soothing, and relatively easy to find things that don't clash with it for decorating. And studies show that yellow causes people to become relaxed.

I'm with you on the pink. Choose instead a soft, buttery yellow or a periwinkle (bluish-lavendar). My bedroom is periwinke with white wicker headboard and accents. I use yellow and green with it in the summer and spring and warm it up in the winter and fall with reds and corals.

my room has a blue and green theme (and a bit of purple). The walls are green. I think it looks nice. It is bright and that really opens up a room.
