The third heaven is where God dwells, and that is where John was caught up to in the Book of Revelation. Physical heavens or the universe, and I'm not sure the Bible makes clear where the other one is. When we die we go to be with Christ who is in the third heaven.

There are three heavens. check Genesis 1. But they're not what you think they are. The first heaven is the sky. The second is "space" if you will. The third is where God is. All three is what is being referenced in Genesis 1:1; the first is referenced a few verses later. When the Bible says that God "stretched out" the heavens, it is literally referencing the second heaven. So when Paul talks about the third, he is speaking of where God is. So to answer your question, we do not go to the sky, or to space, but to God!

Its not 3 heavens but 3 layers. Satan, when he was cast out of heaven in isaiah 14 (i think) he was not allowed in the 1st layer (the throne room of God) and in Revelation 12 satan is cast completly out of heaven. All saved will be going to heaven no matter what but i do believe there will be a just reward for the more faithful and will invole the more you did as a christian. Some, (i believe) will be in one of the 3 layers of heaven and the least faithful will be on earth. Im not mormon or JW

And that is all we know of Paul's 3rd heaven. Jesus speaks of God as God of the living, hence Abraham etc. were alive as Jesus spoke.
Rabbinical speculation/mysticism put Paradise in Hades, heaven, or "somewhere" above the earth. A great deal of mind wandering on this began w/ the order of Genesis 1 or Ezekiel.
God hasn't thought we needed to know yet.
See you there.

The first heaven is the atmosphere...where the birds fly and where the air we breathe gathers around the earth.
The second heaven(s) are the space, wherein the planets lie.
The third heaven is the dwelling place of God, beyond the universe.

From the sorderburg it seems you go to the heaven you are yourself. The first heaven is where you love yourself. The second where you love your neighbor and the third where you love the lord.
But, these are not physical as they are transcendental.
Their is an old saying:"Everyman makes his own heaven and his own hell"

Yes, there are 3 Heavens. There is the Celestial Glory (which is the highest, the crown), there is also the Terrestrial Glory and the Telestial Glory.

At the Final Judgment we will be assigned to the kingdom for which we are prepared. We will be sent to one of four places: the celestial kingdom (the highest degree of glory), the terrestrial kingdom (the second degree), the telestial kingdom (the lowest degree), or outer darkness (the kingdom of the devil--not a degree of glory).
Our choices will determine which of the four kingdoms we are prepared for. We learn from this revelation that even members of the Church will inherit different kingdoms because they will not be equally faithful and valiant in their obedience to Christ.
