He was there for three years and Married a Japanese Woman they had a Son. He left them there because he knew his Family would not accept them, He was so lost without them that he drank too much and eventually he killed himself in a car accident. I would like to find them or at least his Son. It would make Our Family complete and I know that (now) they would be welcomed with much love. Can anyone tell me of any Military or public sites to find children of GI 's in other Countries?

Family records in Japan list not one person, but the entire family. The first thing you'll need to know is the name of the person he married (in Japanese) and where that record was made. If you have this information, then you can perhaps begin to fit other pieces. I do not believe the military keeps track of these things - certainly not the children.

Try the Personnel Records Depot in St. Louis, MO. They should have a copy of your uncle's page 2 of his service record listing his wife and child. Best Wishes.

Why can't you go. Did your parents tell you couldn't go or do you just not want to go visit him?
