Wel, how's this to answer?
Genesis 2:4-6 These are the generations of the Heavens and of the Earth when they were created, in the day that The Lord God made the Earth and the Heavens, 5 and every plant of the field before it was in the Earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the Earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. 6 But there went up a mist from the Earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
oh yeah!
Gen. 2:2 and on the seventh day.......
so no it did not rain before the flood
Genesis 7:11-12 was the first rainfall, Noah's flood.

It may have rained in other places but not where Noah was building the ark. Many believe there was a water canopy over the earth at the time of Noah. This may not be entirely correct because the pressure of the atmosphere would have been far greater then life could bear. There may have been no rain in the sense that the weather patterns we experience today were not set in motion. The Bible is true in everything that is written so the short answer is no. No rain but mist, or more commonly known as fog. There had to be a great deal of water in the atmosphere in order for the skies to open up for 40 days and 40 nights.

No it wasn't raining since the beginning of time up until Noah built the ark, that makes about as much sense as the bible does. It was a story, who knows if it was true or not. Most religions, civilizations, ect. have some story about a major flood way back when...but I doubt it covered the whole earth. The bible exaggerated it.

I'm not a believer, have not read your book, so really I can't say what is or is not in it. But...if by chance there is any mention in it about no rain before a flood...is it possibly that it they may have more realistically been referring to a long drought period? Maybe the original writings actually say that?
It's perfectly possible that people would talk like we do today, dramatizing bad things like droughts as if it never rained before.
If there as never any rain...their water sources would have dried up, there would have been be no people there, or plant life or animal life that would help them survive, they would have had no descendants able to write it down... And if it did not rain, then I guess they had no clouds either?

There was not rain before Noahs Ark! God provided water to come up out of the ground to water the vegetation!
Men mocked Noah when he told them he was going to build the ark and that rain was going to come out of the heavens and flood the whole earth!
The story of Noah's Ark can be found in the Bible book of Genesis!

There was no Noah's ark. that's just a fairy tale. Imagine, 10s of 1000s of animals coming from all around the world to hop a ride on a ship made of sticks. the ark would have had to be the size of Texas, maby bigger. I suppose you also believe there were fish on it also. Get real man,use your head and think about it.

I'm not a Christian, but a Muslim. What I do know that rain started to fall in a time of prophet Idris (Enoch) who asked God for rain becasue the land has become drier than ever, . This prophet came between Adam and Noah (Peace be with them all). So yes it did rain before Noah's (PBUH) time.

Of course there was rain before Noah's Ark. It just didn't rain enough to cause a flood.
