oh crap, here we go.
Alright, first thing psychology class teaches about dieting?
*95% of diets do not work long term.
and
*The majority of them can damage your matabolism meaning your body will have an even harder time burning calories and will store more weight.
*For being 5'4" you are not overweight.
*Only 5% of models look the way they do naturally. The others starve themselves, get surgery, or in other ways mutilate their bodies in order to conform to an unhealthy media image.
*Some people actually are attracted to healthy, as opposed to underweight, people. (most of the educated people i know, actually) Healthy body weight can lead to more emotional health (as well as physical health) which can be wonderful for relationships etc.
If you ARE still looking to loose weight, please consider cutting down on sugars and getting regular excercise. Find a way to loose weight gradually over time to avoid damaging your body. Damaging your body through harmful dieting can affect your weight gain either immediately after you go off of the diet, or in weeks, months, or years (and not for the better)
For a healthy body, please educate yourself about your body, including how and why you might be holding a certain concept of your body size, and also educate yourself about the diets you are considering (and not by using the information provided by the dieting company you are considerig buying from. they make money by convincing you their diets are good for you!! and 95% of them are NOT healthy)
I encourage you to visit the sites listed below. some threads offered in the links discuss how feelings come to live in the body and the gendered implications of those feelings.
My best thoughts are with you on your journey. ^_^
-Gabriel
PS somebody listed water intake, YES!
Also, muscle weighs more than fat. But, it ISN'T fat. and, is healthy.

I'm really disappointed in all the people that suggest weight lost. You're 5'4", you should be around 130-140 pounds. Plus, you are athletic, which means your mass is more muscle than fat...hence you would be a little heavier than average.
It's really too bad that today's youth is growing up to think that a popsicle stick body is ideal. It is unhealthy and unattractive.
You should be proud of your ghetto bootie. Curves are much more sexy than the tomboy straight look that's getting ever popular.
If you are worried about bloating, as it happens to all of us women through out the month....make sure you are drinking ALOT of water. Drink at least 6 8oz glasses a day, more if you can. In one week you'll lose around 6 pounds just from letting your body know it doesn't have to hold on to water.

OK, how long have you been this way? Not since yesterday, not even since last week. Your wait gain happened gradually. So does your weight loss - has to happen gradually, or it won't last.
Don't eat anything after 7 pm. Make your dinner the lightest meal of the day. Exersise 40-60 minutes 6 days a week. Exersise should be intence enough to break a sweat.

Start with your diet. No white breads or pasta, stick with whole grains. Low fat dairy such as skim milk and 0% fat yogurts. Lots of fruits and veggies as well. Lean cuts of meat, free range chicken and egg whites. Try interval training with jogging, that is speed walk for 2 minutes, jog for 2 minutes,do this for 30mins. If you are not a jogger try an elliptical machine and do intervals with that. Make sure you do at least 30mins of cardio each day. For butt exercises try lunges and squats,3 sets of 10 to start. Hope this helps!!

Stop eating so much junk food and do some walking, jogging, or other aerobic activity for at least an hour a day. Do not lose more than 3lbs a week and do not take any diet pills whatsoever!

Junk food?....well depends on what you mean by that...
Reduce sugar to zero....and reduce all your carbs(complex carbs) such as pasta, rice, bread, cereal, no cakes or cookies.....
Increase your protein intake, such as eggs, real meat(not processed like hotdogs and lunchmeats like bologna), and cheese.
If you would like more info...email me.
Cardio exercise 3x a week.....for at least 20mins and you will win the battle of the buldge..
The deal with the butt issue might just be genetic....and we cant really do anything about that...now can we...:)
Good luck.

I would suggest you talking to a nutritionist. They can help you set a personalized diet and excersise plan that would work for you. If you are unable to meet one, I would tell you to eat healthy, which means eat a little bit of everything, and exercise 20 minutes a day, that should make a difference.
