My dogs are my 3rd and 4th childern; that don't talk back, ask for everything they see, or hog the big-screen when I get off work.

We have 3 dogs and thought about pet insurence but it did not cover things that would really be used plus it was $90 (for 3) a month. So we decided to open a pet savings account and now we just put $50 a month into the account. It has come in handy becauseit is making money and we havent used it yet!

We pay right around $35/month for the premium plan with low deductible. (I could have chosen a higher deductible and lower monthly payment -- or gotten accident-only insurance for $6/month, but I wanted the highest coverage available.)

I am so sorry to hear about your pup -- what a horrible loss. I know that having the insurance really has helped me feel more peaceful, knowing that if something happens I can tell the vet to do whatever it takes.

We love Pets Best because of their high limits ($7000 per incident). http://www.petsbest.com/

I believe they also have a multiple-pet discount, as well. Many, many people consider their dogs (and cats) to be their children, which is totally understandable. Insuring all the members of your family is also understandable. Vet bills are expensive and getting more expensive all the time.

I am so sorry for the loss of Karma. :(

its like 9.00 amonth for the basic insurance. if you call your vet or go there, usually they have info on it...better yet go to petcareinsurance.com...they will give you free quotes. i am getting it for my weinmaraner...give it a shot.
