My dog is limping on front leg. While standing he keeps it lifted up. I checked out his leg and paw, he pulls it away when touching the 2 middle pads of his paw, there isn't any bleeding, and nothing is stuck in it.

What ever you do stay away from tylenol it will posion your dog. You can give asprin. Just because the dog pulls away does not mean he is in pain. He could have gotten stung by something or bit by an ant.... Keep an eye on it...if you have real concerns call your veterinarian

All older dogs should be taking a chondroitin/msm supplement for their joints. Buy the stuff at Costco and toss it in their food, the actually like the tast of it since it is made from dead cows.

Aside from that, try the asprin-in-a-hotdog trick. A comfy dog bed helps, and you can always massage them. They love a good rub down.

Use baby aspirin. It will help with the pain but is mild enough to still be safe for dogs. NEVER give any aspirin to cats, it is like poison!!

Do NOT ever give a dog Tylenol!!!! It can be very toxic to your dog. Also do NOT give Ibuprophen. Never, ever give your dog ANY pain reliever not even Asprin without consulting with your vet first. To do so could cost the dog his life.

DO NOT GIVE PEOPLE MEDICINE TO DOGS! it was tested for people not pets and has proven to be deadly in the past. your dog needs vet care, something could be very wrong with it's leg. you want to cure the problem, not cover it up with pain meds. remember, if you cannot afford health care for your pet, you should not have a pet.

NEVER give a dog Tylenol or Ibuprofen. You could end up poisoning your pet.

If you must give him anything, give him buffered (or enteric coated) aspirin, like Ecotrin
