LOVE - http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=love
LUST - http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=lust

i think that the main difference between these two is that love is an emotion whereas lust is a physical feeling.. love grows overtime (i think love at first sight is no such thing) whereas you can lust for someone or something instantly. i think that lust is also just about what one person wants.. it's kind of selfish and only serves the one person.. whereas love is never selfish and involves others - the person you love as well. love can include lust as sometimes physical feelings are because of emotions, but lust doesn't always mean there is love.

Love is when you care so much for someone that you feel it with your heart to the point that it actually aches. You want them to be happy no matter what the cost is to you, even if it means you cannot be with them. The thought of them feeling any kind of pain makes you hurt so bad that you feel like you are going to die. When you look into someone's eyes and know every thought they are having, when you can tell them all of your secrets and trust they will tell nobody, when you can be yourself and know you will not be judged, that is love. When they support your dreams and believe in you that is love.

Lust is just a passing moment. You can feel lust for anyone without ever loving them. Lust is only about sex. When the sex is over, if you don't have love, then you are left with nothing.

Lust is when you want someone so bad that your whole body hurts, love is when you care about someone so bad that your whole heart hurts.

In lust you want what the other person can give you, in love you want to give the other person everything you have.
