the answer to your question is not simple. i make analysis of myself based on the scientific principles of psychology, and explore reasons, pros and cons and come to a conclusion whether to be forgotten or neglected

Wow. What a sad thought. They may not be the very same thing, but I'm not sure there's a difference in the feelings that are generated by being forgotten or being neglected.
For a child, feeling forgotten or neglected is very painful to experience, especially if you are a sensitive soul.
But I have discovered that neglect can drive you into the arms of God if you are inclined to be comforted in that way.
In the end, I think I would rather that everything about me that doesn't turn out to have helped someone else in some way, be forgotten. Likewise, I hope that any kindness or good that I neglected to do, will be filled by a more loving soul.
Hoping the best for you...

Forgotten. At least then it's not in your face. Where as if you're neglected, you are watching the person neglect you. IMO

forgotten all the way, baby!
i think it's easier to reconcile that someone forgot you instead of that they know you exist and they're purposely neglecting you, and purposely avoiding you-- that's painful.
at least with forgotten you can think that that person is just self-absorbed and doesn't have time for anything outside of themselves.
and, when you're forgotten, you can do your own thing, take care of yourself. if you're neglected, you're depending on someone else to take care of you.

I would say forgotten because when you forget it's unintentional. If I were neglected that means somebody intentionally ignored me. That would hurt.

that would be a question that is just a feeling as i feel it would be worse to be neglected as being forgotten is something that happens after you die usually and to be neglected you would need to be alive. and dieing would element your feeling much at all
