I honestly couldn't have said it better myself. These priests should be castrated and then sent to animals shelters to live in cages....wait, they might then molest the animals..oh well, you know what I mean.

Perhaps you haven't noticed the large number of priests that have been sent to jail and the large cash settlements that have been paid by the various Catholic dioceses.
Priestly misconduct of any kind is an abomination before God and man and should not be covered up or condoned in any way.
That said, over 99% of priests are good and holy men, and the Catholic church continues to offer true worship to God.
This was not a strictly Catholic problem, either. Just look around.

I am Catholic and I understand your consternation at the perverts that call themselves priests. It is an unfortunate thing that so many Church MEN have fallen from Grace, but it is a product of the Second Vatican Councel. If you read Fr. Malachi Martin's books, primarily THE JESUITS, THE VATICAN, THE SECOND CONCLAVE, and WINDSWEPT HOUSE you can get a real understanding of why all this garbage happened. Unfortunately the Church is made up of men and men are sinners and thus sin does happen. In the book, WINDSWEPT HOUSE which was published around 1996, Fr. Malachi Martin exposes homosexual behavior of priests and bishops especially here in the United States. When people first read this book it was tooted as complete fiction although Fr. Martin himself said that about 95% of it was actual fact. Now, all these years later we know it is all true. Fr. Martin worked as a Vatican Spy for many years. His purpose, besides doing exorcisms, was to spy on other prelates in the church to see what they were up to. It was a dangerous game that needed to be handled correctly. One pope (John Paul I) had already been murdered for trying to fix the corruption in the Church. Now things are slowly beginning to change in the Catholic Church. Stiff regulations are now being put back into place to carefully sift through men who want to enter the seminary. No one who is homosexual or has had homosexual experiences is allowed to enter the seminary anymore (obviously the sexual molesting was done by homosexual priests). However let us keep in mind that only about 3 % of Catholic priests are sexual predators as opposed to 7% of other denominations. So that leaves us with 97% Good, holy men who practice chastity. Previous to the Second Vatican Council, there was no such thing as a homosexual predator priest. Things are changing though. Now we have a more conservative pope who is starting to make changes for the better.

That's exactly why I left the Catholic Church!! When this happened in the past the priests would just get moved to another congregation. I know there are some good ones out there but when you can't trust the 'higher' ups to get rid of the perverts then you don't feel safe. There needs to be some woman priest out there and they should all be able to marry so they can satisfy there sexual feelings in a LEGAL way.

For some strange reason, people have thought that the catholic church represents God.
That the priests represent God.
They don't.
God represents God.
Perhaps all this is happening to wake people up to the fact that the catholic church doesn't represent Him.
Could be.
How about Jimmy Swaggart as another example.
There he is old silver tongue, jumping around and speaking like no bodies business. Crying at the drop of a hat and give me your money. Well he went down---come to think of it a lot of them went down at about the same time Jim Baker too. The Chickasaw Indian in Oklahoma, ( oral roberts in case you don't know ) even Jerry Falwell lost a large following but old Jerry is slick he saw which way the wind was blowing and ducked back in the bushes.
Perhaps it is God saying well I guess we have had about enough of that.

There are only a few priests in the over all number of priests involved in this and while even one case is one to marry what has made the news is often 30 years of charges made, not what is current. The church did handle the situation poorly.
But in the overall aspect, there are higher percentages of child molesters in our public schools as teachers, in all oher denominatins, as boy scout leaders as karate teachers and more.
So while the church did handle their part poorly the others don't even get good media attention.

The pope and the catholics have what I call Richard Nixon Syndrome. They just couldn't bring themselves to tell the world the truth, and are suffering the consequences of that action (inaction). However if they will blatantly lie about that, you'll also find that they having been telling their flocks lies about the doctrines of religion they advocate. They admonish their congregations to not bother with reading the Bible, because if they did they would realize how they have been duped. They violate almost every principle laid out in the scriptures.

A lot of them have been prosecuted so your statement is incorrect. The problem is that you only hear about the bad priests. They are actually considering changing it so that they can marry, so they are doing something to prevent it.

The pope just has deaf ears and eyes.
Everyone knows priests should be allowed to get married because it is normal. Banning marriage is an abomination before the Lord.
