I am a Christian and I have no intention of doing any wacky voodoo. I don't need people quoting scripture - I just am longing for some closure...

as a Pagan
i must tell you that you should remember her as she lived.
contacting her will only cause more pain for you and for her,
allow her to have her rest and to continue on in the afterlife.
she is going to be fine. hold dear her memories of life...
if at some point that she chooses to contact you it will prabally be in a dream or through very subtile signs, recieve them with an open heart and live a full life for yourself like she would have wanted you to.
if you feel the need to contact her, pray to your gods for her to contact you, but do not be upset if she does not or appears not to. time has very little meaning in the afterlife a second may seem a year or a year as a second to them.
please do not try to contact her with an Oujia board. these are powerful tools that should only be used by trained people and then only sparingly. the spirits contacted through them are seldom who they say they are. but they are good at manipulationa and getting you to believe them. they will only cause you more pain.
i know that this is not what you wanted to hear but i hope that it helps you.

Some people believe in speaking with the dead. An example would be John Edward. He had a show where he supposedly did, but he was found out to be a fake. The bible does however speak of demons trying to distract you. Demons can pretend to be a relative. You must accept the fact that she is gone, and that she is in a better place now. You can pray for her safety, but nothing that you can do will make it better, so try to just let it go, and know that it was God's will for her to go. My condolences... God bless.

As many here have expressed, I give you my heartfelt condolences also. If you want some comfort from your sadness commune with the living, those who knew your mom as well as you. Talk about all the wonderful things she did , share with each other those memories, and in a way you are hearing from her .... what you and others say... and she will always be very close to you.

The answer is a resounding 'NO!'
That's based on Ecclisastes 9:5, 10.
However, John 5:28 indicates that at some future time, arrangements will be made whereby you and your mother can sit down and converse.

Well in most of the cases that your in people call phsycics. They can help you talk to the dead. You may not be able to comunicate with them by your self but you can deffinately have some one talk for you. And just remember your mother will always be around you. So if you ever think about it just remember that if shes looking over she is fine.
hope you get to talk to your mother again!!
any other questions?? email me --- helpfulhints101@yahoo.com

Other than through audio or video recordings, no.
I'm sorry for your loss. Beware of people who claim to speak with the dead. They are all completely 100% fake. Many of them make their living by victimizing people who recently lost loved ones.
However, speak with the living and share with them about the life of your mother and about your love for her and you may begin to feel some sort of peace with her passing.
Good luck!

No--and it is extremely dangerous to try. The Bible says that the dead are conscious of nothing at all. Any contact with the spirit realm which appears to be coming from someone who has died is coming from wicked demon creatures who are trying to get you to believe that the Bible is untrue. The good news is, that God has promised to resurrect (recreate or bring back to life) those who have died. Remain faithful to God and keep doing his will and you will soon get to welcome your mother back to life.

Not to my knowledge. Harry Houdini says that after he died that he would find someway to communicate with the living, No one has stepped forward and said that they heard from Harry yet.

No, but you can contact demons to pose as your mother. Thats wrong and forbidden by God. Ask Christ to be your forgiver and Lord and cast your pain on Him, friend, wont you?
