That is a very good question. For Me It all depends on if I choose to let something, or someone own me. "Rent space in My head" you know let them get to me and that's all I think about. Then the answer is no I would not go calmly into the night, I would much rather be humble and meek, about all problems, so there for I could all ways go calmly into the night... Bottom line the choice is mine right..

I really think you're above what you're implying here, as we all are.
Maybe you purposely left this question vague, but what possible reason could there be for choosing "to not go calmly into that good night?"

The lost have alot to fear about death. They run around on earth with delusions of how powerful they really are until death comes knocking at their door. These non-christians are so tough throughout their life but yet when they are on their death bed they want a priest to pray for them, how pathetic. Accept Jesus now, dont wait until almost dead to decide maybe "Im wrong about this God-thing". You may not get to see your death bed, rebellious soul.

Nope, I'll fight for every second of life I can get. I've been in this world for awhile now, and I've grown very attached to it. If I have a soul that exists beyond death, I hope it will be comprised of my memories, and I'd like to have as many good ones as I can =)

I can assure all that if I see a tunnel of light upon my death, I will return post haste, kicking and screaming like there's no tomorrow.
Of course, there will always be the prospect tomorrow, so immortality really doesn't scare me enough to be tottering off to some fictional heaven...

I have worked labor and delivery and I have worked in the ICU....Death is very much like labor. If you and the people surrounding you can be at peace and accept this normal process of human existence, it is an awesome experience... When there is tension, extreme fear, anxiety, etc. it leaves all who witness the event disturbed.

I hope to spend my last moments of physical existence having a good laugh at the silliness of it all...

...not raging "against the dying of the light".

I've always liked that poem.
But I think everyone instinctively knows when it's their time to go.. and at that time, you can only hope you've done what you needed to do. If i get to that time, and i feel like i've not done what i needed to do, i'll kick and scream like hell to stay alive, because i don't want to die without fulfilling my purpose.

We don't always have the choice but given it I would fight for every minute I can to stay here on this earth with those I care about.

By that time you can't wait to get rid of your failing body. This is especially true if God keeps on letting you get sick to reform you or keeps on giving you challenges in your life so that you realize how evil or mortal you are (like He is known to do).
