Please wear them. It would be worse for you to go to school and not be able to see anything teachers write on the boards, or your locker number and combination, and sometimes teachers might give out little questionnaires or something. I think it would be more embarrassing having to pretend to read things than having to go with glasses. Besides the frames anymore are cute, way better than I was a 7th grader! I really bet you look just fine with your glasses, try not to dwell on it. Maybe as you get older you can switch to contacts if you really want to and are able to. Good Luck with your school year!

You should definitely wear your glasses on the first day as well as all the other days of school. Don't worry about what people think. True friends are the ones that don't judge you for just wearing glasses.

Yes. Please wear them. I had the same question when I was going into 7th grade. People will notice whether or not you are kind to them MUCH more than they will notice whether or not you wear glasses. If you can't see them clearly, you won't be able to see whether they are looking at you or not, and they may notice that you are looking at them but not smiling (because you can't see that they are making eye contact with you). Being decent to people is cool. Squinting or appearing to ignore them is not cool. I wasn't pretty or cool looking in 7th grade, but I was very popular in spite of my glasses because I was generally cheerful, I didn't make fun of people, and I didn't snub people. Those are the things we're sensitive to in 7th grade.

It's much cooler to see where you're going than to stumble and feel uncertain. Definitely wear them. If you don't much care for the frames, why not look into having them updated? I'll bet if others in your household wear glasses, you could interest them in a new look. Many opticians offer multi-pair discounts. You should be able to improve your look and pay less than you might expect.
Have fun in junior-high.

wear them. it's not a big deal what you look like if you have real friends, and plus, you don't wanna trip over something on the first day and go flying, books hitting others on the head and everyone either hating you or laughing at you.

Wear your glasses. You need them to see to learn and to study. What you know is more important than how you look.
Looking good is important, but you have to know to succeed.

It's really ok, you shouldn't care what other people think about you. If you like them, wear them! If you don't like them then just carry them and put them on when you need it.
