The reason that this exclusive view on salvation has evolved and taken such a popular hold through western religious thought, is that it provides a convenient mindset for the adherent to illusion themselves in a comfortable position of attaining the highest reward and a position of, in their view, social superiority, based on a simplistic faith system.
Which is why it is defended with such force. To focus on the reality of this mental conditioning is not favoured at all by those who are satisfied deluding themselves into a state of piety whilst quoting self favouring man made viewpoints to support their position.
Such self delusion will not procure liberation from material bondage, attainment of God consciousness or revival of the original consciousness.
The first person, who is in the mode of goodness will make more advancement to the spiritual world then the latter.

This is what a just God would do, in my humble opinion. The non-Christian who helps the poor would go to heaven. It doesn't make any sense to me that good works would not count. If the murderer discovered Jesus and then dedicated the rest of his life to good works, then I think justice would require that he go to heaven if he had sufficiently atoned for his crime.
You complain about the inconsistent answers. Well there are different types of Christianity, thank God.

the basic tenets of all religions are dogmatic and you get irrational, dogmatic answers from the followers of religion. if you believe in god and the path to reach him is by doing only good deeds, a non Christians who help poor go to heaven. but the Christians disagree with this rationalist answer. they say only a person whatever cruel he be discovers Jesus will reach him first.

k i understand why u ask this and it totally makes sense
the point of jesus's sacrifice was to save us so that all we must do is beleive in christ to go to heaven
its not good deeds that gets you to heaven.
its like saying i can do as much bad stuff as i want then buy my way in.
if a murderer discovers jesus he is saved. When you sin u must repent and if u truly mean it which only God knows then u are safe.
a non christian who helps the poor is not necisarrily helping the poor for the right reasons.
its not good deeds that get you to heaven its beleiving in GOD and Jesus that get you to heaven. Why would you go to heaven if you dont beleive in the one who created it

The Non-Christian.
And believe it not, the same holds true for Muslims. A non-Muslim who helps people and is sincere will go to heaven, whereas a murderer, Muslim or not, is condemned to hell.

Wow man, thats real tricky. It all depends, was the non believer into any devil type stuff?,Did the murderer repent?
And for a second though the bible says god is strongly against no believers in so many words. The bible also saysin the ten commandments "Thou shall not kill". You let god decide.

Speed does not matter. All that matters is: "If you call upon the name of The Lord, you shall be Saved". Only the saved will go to heaven. Works is not a criteria and will not get you into heaven.

I know who gets out of jail faster - the discoverer. Parole boards have a soft spot in their hearts and heads for them.
