i am an atheist and i don't believe in religion , god etc.no sane person would order any body either to renounce his religion or his children would be killed. if a psychotic threatens a person, as there is no alternative, it is better to renounce that religion. for me human beings are important and religion is not important.Karl Marx said religion is opium. but there are some fanatics, who love their religion and ready to kill even their kith and kin.

Odd you should ask that question as it was part of our talk this very morning. As I believe strongly that God has the power to resurrect the dead and as I know for a fact that he is just and as I also know he can use our faith to teach others that it is the truth, I would have to try to reason with the person doing the threatening but ultimately I would not renounce my religion or my God.

I will never renounce my religion. If I had children they probably would be killed anyway so I had better explain to them about Christ before I die. If you were to kill me, what does that make you?

So many people ask "if" questions in reference to God. I have no children (except those I work with), so of course, I would enjoy my freedom to worship the Lord. If I were told I would be killed if I did not renounce my belief in the Lord, I would proclaim His name for all to hear.

I guess in that case I'd be glad I don't have children or a religion.

But if anyone told me to renounce Jesus, I would not, not for anything. If they killed me or my saved loved ones, I'd be thankful because we would be with Jesus. As for those unsaved, that's why I'm praying for them now.

Renounce my religion. God would know that I was under duress, and as a loving and understanding God, He would not want to cut short the lives of my children.

Hopefully, this is another test that God gave to Abraham; to kill his son, Isaac. So I said: I have to renounce my religion so my children will be saved. i

Renounce it. Hands down. You could always just practice it anyway, who would know?
