When doing your analysis and research, it matters whether you want absolute numbers (regardless of population), or proportional numbers (based on relative population).

So, if a group with a million people had 10 crimes per month. And a group with a dozen people had 8 crimes per month, which is more?

Based on the number of people in prison, it is Texas with 166,911. California has 164,487. This is as of 31 Dec 2003.

California has the most crime. Bank robberies are tops and what should be tops is guarding our boarders from mexican criminals !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
