Well most religions if not all believe in a higher being.

Buddhism and Christianity are very different.

Buddhism and Taoist Beleive that you die and come back again and again to gain enough wisdom to then go to heaven. And Buddha has succeeded in doing that. But the trauma of being reborn makes people loose thier memories of their past life.

Christianity being hte only religion that promises salvation is very much different. Christ came down and sacrificed himseld for us so that we must only believe in him and his sacrifice to enter heaven.

Judism is like what i like to call un old christianity, the only difference betweens jews and christians is that they are still waiting for thier messiah, Christians obvioulsy in the name beleive that Christ was the messiah.

Islam being the newest of the three main religions came from mahommad seeing the arch angel Gabriel, Gabriel gave him messages and helped him to make the Koran aka Quran, mahommad at first was rejected by this but ended up getting many followers and swept mecca and many other surrounding cities starting Islam under thier God Allah

I will generalize but really it depends on the form or either. When it comes to Christianity God saves you from a sinful state via the work of his son (i.e. dying on the cross for our sins).

In Buddhism the goal is to alleviate suffering for the self as well as others via in most part detaching from worldly desires. Other subordinate methods include meditation, acceptance, and the larger vessel of compassion.

I know this is an over simplification but I really do not feel like writing another book today. Hopefully you get the gist.

In Christianity you are born evil and with original sin. Only God is good and can change your heart to do genuinely good acts.

Buddhism more or less claims that geniune good comes from self. As far as I know, Buddhism completely rejects that you need a God or wonders about needing a God with Buddha as a fallible teacher.

buddhism is more different than the other 3. like hinduism, it believes in reincarnation. buddhism is more spiritual, and isnt really concerned all that much about whether there is supreme being. many buddhist actually dont believe in a god.
the other three have the same roots just diiferent interpretations that have grown more over the years.

No. Christianity has a God that actually died on the cross and rose again to save everyone. All others believe in themselves and are humanist religions. Their gods are idols. Their gods cant die and come back. God is a supreme being.
