Because at the moment, everyone is guaranteed the freedom of choice. And immunization procedures are not in the same category as major surgery. So, the choice is up to the individual. For now.
Many people want to change that. They want the decisions to be made by the govt, and to remove reproductive freedoms from the list of fundamental rights. And if that happens, there is nothing to stop what you are describing from being enacted as law.

When it comes to medical procedures we only get was has been tested and approved to help up. For example when it came around for me to get my Anthrax shot it was optional. This was because they have noticed that it causes side effect so I opted not to get it....
You are talking about a baby. The military will never make it mandatory to get an abortion. One is unhuman and also the majority of the people that join the military is because they follow in the footsteps of there parents or other relatives to this will hurt recruitering 18 years down the road...
haha...I just added that last part to be funny. It is true that the majority of the people in the millitary had a family member that was also in the military.

Our government is split down the middle on whether or not abortion should even be LEGAL. What on earth makes you think that they would have the balls, much less the ability, to force terminations on female soldiers. Isn't it bad enough for the mother, who may have gotten orders to deploy while pregnant, gets her 6 weeks of maternity leave and joins her unit at war while her newborn stays home with the husband or other guardian?

Have you taken a look around? It is the most contentious issue going. Even though abortion is legal, everyone acts like it is the end of the world. There is no way what you suggest would happen any time soon.
