These people who get arrested and charged with making bombsor trying to blow op planes and tube trsins if they are like they say british citizns then why are they not charged with treason and if found quilty why are they not hanged surre its still on the statute books that treason is ahanging offence

I thought treason were crimes against the monarchy and not people under its rule. I could be wrong. It's scarey to think that many of these people have been born and raised in a British society and could turn against their neighbours. Although we (and largely the media) have done nothing in recent times other than push them back into their communities making them become more insular rather than embracing their cultures and welcoming them into ours. Also, the Islam bashing that happens in the media, on here and on the streets does nothing but to fuel their hatred against western societies... note I didn't write civilised, as I don't think we are.
But I do think capital punishment should be introduced back into society, not just for these home grown terrorists, but for all crimes, to make it civilised once again.

The death penalty for treason was repealed by the Crime and Disorder Act in 1998.

Thats a good question, not that I think they should but still you have a point! I suppose one answer is that it would make martyrs out of them and another is that they haven't really caught anyone and nailed them - the others all blew themselves up already.
