I've heard they are very high in nutritional value.
I love them . I often just eat them by themselves with my meals.
The link below has more recipes for them than I knew existed.
For something really simple try them with cottage cheese, tomato, cilantro and salt and pepper to taste.

There are many types of avacados. Hass, Fuerte, Green and Finger Avacados (shaped like small banannas). Finger Avacados are good to peel and eat. - However, Hass are the dark green type, which have small lumps. They are the best, because they have a nutty taste, and are rich. The Green and Fuerte are stringy and waterery.
With an avacado you can cut them in half and fill w/ any filling that you find tasty and healthy. - Cottage cheese, bacon bits, even just plain old mayo, and you can add a little chili powder, like you would w/ a mango.
The best guacalome recipe is:
3-4 Avacados (mashed
2-3 T. Mayo,
Cayenne pepper - 1/4 tsp
Garlic powder - 1 T (optional)
1 T lemon juice - fresh
Serve in bowl, garnish w/ chopped tomatos and cilantro.
OR
Put guacamole on top of a grilled cheese sandwhich,
OR
Sliced avacados on a piece of buttered toast, - little salt or garlic seasoning.
I never cook using exact measures. It is always good to add a little at a time and taste, than to add too much, as it is harder to fix what you've ruined.
Avacados are great sliced into salads. - You can add guacamole onto plates of good mexican dishes, and also make soups, usually cold. They are healthy and good.

Yes, avocados are good for you. Any way you eat an avocado is the best way. I eat them right out of the skin with a little salt. some balsamic vinegar in the center and eat. Made into a puree with some cream as a cold soup. chop a few in with some chopped onion, tomato, a squeeze of lemon, and jalapeno and you have guacamole. add it to some tuna salad or any sandwich they are very versatile and delicious.

there is dispute regarding how good they are for you. They are pretty high in fat for a vegetable - doesn't stop me from eating them though!
I prefer the smaller black pebbly (Haas) avocados to the bigger shiny green ones (from California, I think)
I simply cut them in half, remove the seed, and sprinkle with salt and balsamic vinegar - go at them with a spoon, and down it goes. There are many things you can do with them, though. These other nice people will fill you in!
Enjoy!

There are many wonderful things about avocados, you can use them in a moisturizing mask for your face and/or boil the seed in water and use it to add shine to your hair. I like avocado wedges in salads and of course, guacamole.

avocados are great for ya, full of vitamins and of course, any fruit or veggie is good for ya...
the best way to eat it (trust me on this one, im a huge food fan) is to cut in half, take out the pip and scoop out the avocado itself from the peel into a bowl, put in it salt and 1 whole lemon (juice) abit of white pepper and mash, ummmmmmm :) try eating it like this of a peice of bread, yummy!

Cut it in half take out the big seed, scoop out the meat and discard any dark bruises if you see any it should be dark green on the out side and pale green in the center. Smash it up like mashed potatos add the following
1/4 medium size onion diced
1 small tomato diced
1 table spoon of diced cilantro (it looks like parsely and is found in the same area you find parsely at your grocery)
1 small fresh jalapeno (cut in half take out seed and rinse well, it shouldn't be hot if you remove the seed and rinse well, it's just a nice flavor)
Lemon juice to taste (some people like the lemon, I skip it)
salt to taste
pepper to taste
garlic to taste
Mix it all up and fry up some fresh tortilla chips and yum yum!!!
Buen provecho!

scoop the avocado with a small scooper, you know those that are made for sherbets that makes little balls. you could also use a spoon. Then you could add some sugar and milk, or simply sweetened milk. That's it.

While each half of an avocado has 7 grams of fat, it's the good type of fat. Favorite way for me is slicing it, tossing it with fat-free Italian dressing, and snarfing it down!
