There's this one pastry that I ate when I was a kid in a now closed down resto, perhaps french to which I can't recall its name. Perhaps, I really don't know its name but I won't be able to eat it again unless I know what it is.

half of it is chocolate dipped. it's like 10 cms thin, crusty but has layers like that of croissants. It's usually white - golden brown color. it's not glazed but I think it's buttered outside.

I ate it in a now closed down french restaurant, i think. I'm really not sure if it's a french type pastry.

it's best eaten with some hot chocolate or coffee.

It may be a dipped elephant ear or a bear claw, depending on where you ate it.

Well, I must say, that was pretty descriptive. Was it green, was it latticed, jelly filled, iced??? Anything to work with would be helpful.
