Non-citizens are putting the hurt on our hospitals. A study by the Florida Hospital Association estimates that uninsured non-citizens cost the state's hospitals an average of $63,612 per patient last year.

The tab is rising as the number of immigrants continues to swell from coast to coast. The American Hospital Association reported that its member facilities provided $21 billion in uncompensated health-care services last year.

how important is medical care for you?

For the amount we spend taking care of all the illegal aliens in this country, we could put up a wall, man it, arm it, and plate it in gold! More and more hospitals are folding due to the rising costs. This is a crime against the American taxpayer!! Build the wall!!!

Quite frankly, I seriously doubt those figures. I no longer trust any figures coming from any of the "so-called" health care provider. I don't see how illegal immigrants can get any health care, if they can not provide any identifications to get any issurance in the first place. Last time I had to do a blood test that's not paid by my HMO, I had to pay $400 for it, which was outrageous price, and guess what? If my HMO did not have the so called 'negotiated' rates, I would have to pay $1600 for it. What kind of messed up system is that?

In other words, the only people can afford not having cares are the very rich and the very poor, who can't afford any health care and had to use emergency rooms instead.

This country is in serious need of national health care system to keep the cost in check, especially on the administrative side, which is a complete nightmare for an average person to go through. Immigrates who somehow were able to use the services are the least of the health care cost problems. Corporates have finally noticed trend and start learning toward national health care plan. With Newt Gingrich on board, maybe something could finally be done.

with regard to the only arguments which you additionally could make for unlawful immigration are emotional and in accordance with singular situations or thoughts of the undesirable, complicated working unlawful. on the against section there are a large number of arguments: a million. They take scarce social centers from our very own undesirable. The investment is constrained and the will is infinite. 2. They dedicate crimes against voters. specific voters dedicate crimes too yet while an unlawful kills, victimizes or injures one citizen then isn't that one too many? 3. They take jobs far off from voters. the roles that have severe expenses of illegals even have the backside salary will enhance over the final 20 years! 4. They take scarce scientific care from voters. in basic terms bypass to any well being facility emergency room the place there is an unlawful inhabitants and consider out to get helped. 5. Does absolutely everyone who lives right here want this united states to have six hundred or extra million human beings in it? 9. We can't refuse them medical attention for emergencies, that would be wrong. But I read a story here in Texas about the millions that one hospital had lost on services to unisured illegal immigrants. They also had a story about how much it is costing hospitals to hire interpreters for non-English speaking patients.
I have pay a lot of money when I go to the hospital. Why is my country using my money to pay for healthcare for the citizens of other countries, but won't pay for my healthcare?

Cost 0f 1,891 Mile
Mexican/U.S. Border Fence = 14 Days of Iraq War
Posted by The Watchdog -
August 6th, 2006

Below is a sample of homeland security items
in the FY2007 Budget,
their estimated costs,
and the time it takes the Pentagon
to burn through the same amount in Iraq.

* 1,500 new Border Patrol agents:
$459 million ($306,000 per agent)
Iraq spending equivalent: 1.9 days

* Container Security Initiative (CSI)
to pre-screen U.S.-bound cargo
at more than 40 foreign ports:
$139 million
Iraq spending equivalent: 13.9 hours.

* An additional 6,700 Detention Bed Spaces
to replace “catch and release”
with a “catch and return” policy:
$410 million.
Iraq spending equivalent: 1.7 days

* An enhanced Worksite Enforcement program
to “send a strong deterrence message to employers
who knowingly hire illegal workers…”:
$41.7 million
Iraq spending equivalent: 4.2 hours

* Border technology to enhance electronic surveillance:
$100 million
Iraq spending equivalent: 10 hours

* 18 additional Fugitive Operations teams
(raising the total to 70)
dedicated to catching the estimated 450,000 individuals
who have absconded following their deportation orders:
$30 million
Iraq spending equivalent: 10 hours

* Completion
of the San Diego Border Infrastructure System,
including multiple fences and patrol roads:
$30 million
Iraq spending equivalent: 3 hours

And now for the grand finale.
Although this last item is NOT the least costly,
it may yield one of the biggest benefits.

After the first 10 miles of border fence was completed,
arrests of illegal immigrants
trying to cross the San Diego border sector
plummeted from about 25,000 per year to 3,000 per year.

But of course the San Diego fence
pushed the illegal influx eastward,
into the (less hospitable) Arizona desert.

A serious commitment to border security
would require fencing off the entire southern border—
all 1,891 miles of it.
(For comparison,
we have 40,000 miles of Interstate highways.)

At $1.7 million per mile
(the cost of the first 10 mile stretch in San Diego),
the entire U.S.-Mexican border all (1,891 miles of it)
could be sealed off for $3.3 billion dollars.

Iraq spending equivalent: 13.8 days.

Cost/benefit analysis, anyone?
