Hiya! I'd like to make a hot roast beef sandwich. Let's say I have the deli meat the bread, cheese I want and such, what is the best way to warm it up and not dry it out? I don't have a sandwich grill (or whatever they are called) so do I warm up the meat before building my sandwich...and how should I do this or should I build the sandwich and heat it on the stove or in the oven? I'll try all ideas (within reason) to find a great homemade warm roast beef sandwich. Thanks!

toast your chosen bread and add a little bit of butter and whatever other condiments you like to the toasted surface. Meanwhile, put your roast beef in a little bit of meat juice or gravy in a pan and warm it. Add that to your bread with the cheese first (it will melt from the meat's heat) followed by lettuce, tomato, onion or whatever.

If you want to make an even more filling sandwhich make yourself a small helping of smashed potato to top the whole thing off adding a little more juice or gravy.

Leftover Roast Beef Bar-B-Que Sandwich Filling

This is usually what I do with leftover roast beef since we can never seem to finish eating a whole one. Amounts are just a guesstiment since it depends on how much you have leftover. Making it this way,it seems like your not having the same dish 2 nights in a row.

2-3 lbs roast beef, cooked
12 ounces of sweet baby rays barbecue sauce (any flavor)
1 medium onion, sliced thin
2 pickles, sliced
4-6 buns or 8-12 slices bread

Shred or cut roast into thin slices(I shred).
Mix enough bar-b-que sauce to make moist.
Put into bowl with a lid.
Refrigerate overnight or freeze.
When ready to use, thaw,if frozen and microwave until hot, usually 2 minutes at a time until hot.
Serve on buns with sliced onion and pickles.

How about a Surf and Turf club? You need a few cooked shrimp with Cajun spice on them, a little smaller than cocktail shrimp. Cut in half. Toast any bread you prefer, 3 slices. Cook some bacon. Buy some really good roast beef Thumann's if you can. OK! ready to assemble. Bread, 1000 Island dressing, shrimp, bacon, lettuce, bread, more 1000 Island, tomato, roast beef, 1000 Island on top bread. Cut and enjoy.
