that a Catholic Priest might be defrocked for secretly getting married to a woman?

Yet raping young boys simply gets him moved to a new parish to start over?

What is the logic here?

Yes, I understand he took a vow of celibacy. But why doesn't that include molesting children?

That is an excellent question to which you will never get an honest answer. In my opinion, it's covered up or made to seem less a crime in order to protect the hypocritical Catholics and their false religion.

Let us just for a second, make believe any of the catholic doctrine makes since.....wait, even I can't take much of a stretch. Here's the deal. When you take a man who is a sensual creature by nature and withhold from him the natural ability to have love and companionship and yes sex with a woman. You gotta kinda think he's gonna get it somewhere. Even a good dog will stray if he doesn't get played with every now and again. So essentially there is no logic. You figured it out. Catholiscism is a pagan based religion founded on the premise that all are stupid except the pope and therefore are told NOT to read the bible. I could go on for days. I am sure there are many good catholics and to them I apologize for seeming so mean but if you step back and take a serious look at the faith and it's very foundations you gotta wonder.

It does include child molestation. No priest has ever been praised for abusing a child.
As to your opening statement -- who says homosexuality is so wrong and heterosexuality is so right? Neither of these options is open to a Catholic priest, as he has forsworn sexual congress by his vow to remain celibate.
It is interesting to see how obdurate the Church has been in attempting to retain the vow of celibacy. Would it not give a priest a better understanding of the married condition and of the problems encountered by families, if he, himself, were married and had a family, as is the case in so many other religions? It would certainly cut down on the incidence of pederasty.

the 1st subject with this question is that it presupposes that guy might properly be ready to understanding if it is going to end properly for those in gay relationships. yet we at the instant are not countless adequate to appreciate the long term ramifications of it. How will the toddlers act? What approximately illnesses? What approximately infidelity? What we are able to appreciate is all illnesses that have come from gay kinfolk and that they are numerous. What we are able to appreciate is the themes toddlers are having right now by using few years of gay parenting (to no longer point out all the 'individual a million' and 'individual 2' themes). What we are able to appreciate is that maximum all gay kinfolk do no longer final long. As for discounting the Bible, that's the checklist of the place marriage began and the definition of it, so it won't be able to be skipped over of the equation. because of the fact we won't be able to understand what's finally actuality, we do have a loving God who provides us the command and we are able to be certain that each and one and all fluids of a classic marriage and all the siblings of a Godly marriage would be solid.

This is more a question on Catholicism.
Pedophilia is not homosexuality, BTW and I have to agree with you about this............... always wondered.

I always thought the Catholic Priesthood was a wonderful place for people not interested in women to hide out with and not be constantly quizzed about "Why aren't you married?" and perhaps many believe that becoming a priest would 'cure' them of their various sexual tendencies.

I'm with your thinking here. The Catholic thinking is a bit messed up. Molesting children should be punished much more severly than getting married. It is biblical to get married, it is unbiblical to commit homosexual acts, especially with children. The bible says God hates these acts.

A Catholic priest is subjet to the law of the land, if he commits a crime for which he is convicted then he should go to jail like any other person.

because as you said the priest takes a vow of celibacy, he can not marry. FREUD says sex is one of the important urges of man. sexual desires if not sublimated, and suppressed , it leads to sexual deviant behavior, pedophilia, homosexuality.

Ever read the Boston Globe expose.
MONEY. They need to protect there source of revenue. Its sad really the lengths they'd go. Putting blame on gay priests who have done nothing wrong. Witch hunts to cover their backs.
