Everytime I make lasagna and pore off the water my noodles stick together.
I use oil in the water but it doesn't help.
What can I do?

You are overcooking them. Next time boil the noodles for 5mts less than what you are doing presently they will turn out fine.

Good Luck!

You need to make sure your pot of water you're boiling the noodles in is really big. If you dont have enough water, they wont cook right. Also, dont over cook. You can actually undercook your noodles because they're going to absorb liquid and continue to cook anyway when it's in the oven.

Best thing I ever did was find the no bake lasagna noodles. It saves so much time!

My lasagna recipe doesn't call for the noodles to be boiled before you put it together.

1 lb. ground beef
32 ounces spaghetti sauce
32 ounces cottage chees
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 eggs
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tsp. dried parsley
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
9 lasagna noodles
1/2 cup water

Brown the ground beef. Drain greese and add spaghetti sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. In a large bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, 2 cups of the mozzarella cheese, eggs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, salt and ground pepper. To assemble, in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish evenly spread 3/4 cup of the sauce mix. Cover with 3 uncooked lasagna noodles, 1 3/4 cup of the cheese mixture, and 1/4 cup sauce. Repeat layers twice. Top with 3 noodles, remaining sauce, remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Add 1/2 cup water to teh edges of the pan. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake in preheated 340 degree oven for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes.

Are you using extra virgin olive oil?

Are you dumping the lasagne in all clumped together? try mixing it up a bit.

Make sure you got a good boil going before you stick it in (Hmmm that sounds wrong, just wrong, but there it is.)

Make sure you don't leave it on too long.

Other than that, can't help ya babe.

You are boiling them too long, making them too startchy and do not add any oil or butter just salt, cook a few at a time.

The oil doesn't matter. Use a huge pot, and salt the water. As they soften, stir gently occasionally.

You could try using butter or salt. Salt would keep them from getting soggy and butter would keep them from stiking to the pot or whatever you are cooking it in. good luck with your noodles next time!!!!

I use butter, it tastes better plus it stops the pasta sticking together. Helps if you stir occasionally too.
