Hej!!I had the opportunity to visit Sweden in '00 and love the country and the people in the countryside. Goteborg had a large concentration of immigrant population. Being a tolerant and having a liberal policy is a double edge sword. When you become less tolerant you will be labeled a racist or a "xenophobe", which is very contradicting when you allow (tillåta) other cultures to come in. Immigrants segregate themselves hence the cultural/religious divide that is precipitating. There is a way to assimilate and still preserve your culture. You open your border and welcomed people and yet most can become ungrateful and complain about insignificant as food and the weather when they are given housing accommodation and pays to have you learn their language. What more immigrants want- your blood? godnatt!

Sweden has only 9,016,596 (July 2006 est.). that's just a bit more than New York City. I would say New York has about every person from almost every country in the world living there.

We can't compare these small places to the UK or USA!

I think the moral of the story is, you just can't bring in hundreds of thousands of people someplace all at once, and expect it to work out...there's bound to be trouble.
