You would think that it was God's will that we should all be saved, then he would've made things at least a bit easier.

It is God's will for all to be saved, as it is written: "...He does not want anyone to perish, but wants everyone to come to repentance." (I Peter 3:9)

And God has made it so very easy for us to have faith in Him, since He has preserved His Word throughout the generations, even though nations, governments and zealots tried to destroy it.

The real reason people don't come to faith in Jesus Christ is this:

"And this is the basis for judgment: The light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light because their actions were evil. For everyone who practices wickedness hates the light and does not come to the light, so that his actions may not be exposed." (John 3:19-20)

Why would the Lord want us to chose Him because it was the easy thing to do? He wants us to believe in Him unseen - have a little faith in Him without physical evidence. The individuals who can do that will truly receive a reward in heaven. It is extremely difficult to maintain true faith at times. I will be the first to admit that. I actually felt a powerful presence in the Lord that helped strengthen my belief in Jesus. I now love the Lord with all of my heart and my faith is unwavering.

It is the intention that all people be saved. But God gave everyone the freedom to choose salvation thorugh accepting Jesus as their savior, or choose eternal damnation by rejection Jesus. God only wants those who willing call upon the name of Jesus, and does not want to force anyone to do that. It wouldn't be worth it if salvation was easy. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins, and how does most of this world thank Him for that suffering and pain??? They mock Him and turn their backs on Him. It's a shame. Jesus crucifixion was a way for all men and women to be saved. The choice to take that path to salvation belongs to man kind.

God made things quite simple. He inspired men to leave us a written record of His activity in the world culminating in the Incarnation of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. And just to be certain that it was simple enough, we also have the inspired writings of men about Jesus' activities among us. All you have to do is pray for the faith to believe. Simple, huh?

God died for man to have eternal life. He never said it would be a gravy train. You have to believe, that really not that hard. If you are a child of christ, there are no worries. God will not put on us no more than we can bare. Just like footprints in the sand. He will walk with us, but when the load is unbearable, he carries us.

In the Bible there is the story of a man whose son had been taken over by an evil spirit. One day, he brought his son to Jesus and asked Him to heal him if He could. Jesus replied that all things were possible if we believe, and "Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, 'I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!'" (Mark 9:24). His exclamation was actually a prayer for help—and Jesus responded to his prayer by healing his son.
Let me assure you that God wants you to have strong faith. How can our faith become strong? Let me point out three ways. First, be sure of your commitment to Christ. Is your faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for you by dying on the cross for your sins? Sometimes a person's faith is weak because he or she has never clearly taken this step of commitment. By a simple prayer of faith ask Christ to come into your life today—and He will.

Second, build your faith on the truth of God's Word, the Bible. The Bible is spiritual "food" given by God to strengthen us in our faith. Through it we learn of God's love for us—but apart from it our faith will always be vague and uncertain. The Bible says, "Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17).

Finally, draw strength from other believers. If you're not active in a church, ask God to lead you to one where Christ is preached and you will have opportunities to grow spiritually—not just in the weekly service, but through Bible studies and other programs.
