There are a huge number of swedish meatball recipes on the web, and some are served with a noodle base. There are also hamburger pie recipes. I'd look them up and see if you can approximate what your grandmother did.

Don't know about the recipe, but try this website. The webmaster, Steve, has written a book entitled "recipes from a German grandmother" and he's got a lot of recipes on the site, as well as a way for you to ask other site visitors if they know the recipe. He puts out a newsletter every two weeks or so, and he could add your request to it if you'd like.
