i'm after an mp3 player that i could run off my flashdrive so that i could listen to music at work without having to worry about having to worry about the people in the IT department complaining. windows media player keeps on crashing at work and its getting tiresome. i've heard that there are a few mp3 players out there that doesnt require an installation to be used. any ideas?

If you mean a player that will fit on a flash drive, try the VLC Media Player Portable. From this web site:

http://portableapps.com/

Its free. A portable app is one that fits on a flash drive and can actually run from the flash drive without installation. This web site has all sorts of web applications that can be loaded to a flash drive. I've found this to be a most useful source for FREE applications

iriver

they are plug and play
they dont require syncronising, just drag and drop files through usb
durable as hell (mine still hasnt broken and is barely scratched)

or if i mis read the question and you're looking for a program,
try VLC Player, WinAmp, there are loads out there.

I'd try Creative Mediasource organizer. It's easy to use, and you can just drag songs onto your flash drive.
