Whenever I stand up I get really dizzy for about 10 seconds. This happens usually everyday when I get up in the morning, I think. Anyways, do you think it's serious? I haven't eaten meat in a while, could that be it?

Also, I haven't been having top-notch energy like I usually do.

It may be low blood pressure. If it keeps up I'd get it checked out. Ehm, I've been a vegetarian for about 12 years now and 1) you don't need meat for iron. There are many non-meat meals that will give you every nutrient you need. 2) You mentioned you haven't eaten meat in a while. You may need to supplement the iron you're missing from eating meat. There are plenty of foods to eat where you can get all the iron you need.

It could be just being light-headed from getting up hungry. I sometimes get this way in the morning when I get really hungry. Try eating a little snack of something b4 going to bed.

There are some great nutrition sites on the internet that may be helpful to you.

LOL. go to the grocery store with an alien? Just be strolling along like it's a nothing. haha. You just gave me an idea for a question. check out my profile for my question:))

No, it's not a problem! It happens to me all the time...especially when I get up from watching tv or getting out of bed(like you said)One morning when I was getting up I felt really dizzy but I kept on walking. I ended up falling into my dishwasher and made a dent(it's still there!)Now I usually stay still until the dizziness is gone.

well, first I'd make sure I'm getting proper nutrition, since you said you just stopped eating meat. make sure you're getting enough protein. In the meantime, get your blood pressure checked out. you need a three-step. Laying down, sitting, standing. with no rest in between. there are medications so that you don't get dizzy when you get up. what you're talking about is orthostatic hypotension (LOW blood pressure when you change position).

Yeh, it could be your blood sugar is low in the morning. I was told to eat something small right before I go to bed, a couple cracker, some grapes, a piece of cheese, etc. Nothing, huge that will make you gain weight, just a little something.

You probably ought to get it checked out. The most common reason for this is low blood pressure... when you get up, gravity pulls the blood out of your brain, which in extreme cases, can lead to fainting. Low blood pressure can be triggered by an iron deficient diet... meat is the natural way to get iron but vitamins might help as well. But there could be other explanations.

hey pal, thats perfectly normal to feel this way after masturbation. this state is possibly induced by the harmone 'prolactin' which makes you feel dizzy or somewhat lacking in energy.. but i hardly takes 15-30 minutes to feel normal again

Happens all the time to me.

It could be serious. You neeeeed to eat meat to get iron. If you don't get iron, you could get iron-deficiency anemia... meat is very important. One sign of this kind of anemia is actually dizziness. Go check with your doctor.

you might have low blood pressure. you may want to get it checked out if it continues. the no energy thing worries me a little, too. you could have low iron in your blood. good luck!
