I have a cat and a dog. I adore them both immensely. When me and my dog are curled up together, (usually me behind him snuggling into him sleeping ) , he just sighs and snuggles in closer and I feel so calm and loved and all is right in my world. My cat is teeny tiny and my nicknames for her apart from her actual name are Tinkerbell ( little fairy) and Thumbelina ( tiny little thing). She curls up on one of my knees and goes right to sleep purring. When she sleeps on my pillow I feel her purrs on my face and I breathe in time with her and I really feel connected to her. It is all pure love, love in a way that I have never felt for another person. Total acceptance of me, unconditional. Do you get this with your pets too ?

Yes. Animals have a sweet energy uncomplicated by all the issues people carry around with them. I love animals.

No, but I have a cat and hes the opposite. His love is totally conditional. In fact he was a hateful little kitten. Now that he's grown and become a big fat cat, he loves on me and my husband and hates everyone else. I guess you could say we had to earn his love. But he's still hilarious and we both love him (though no one else does LOL).
As far as a spiritual high, I only get taht from Jesus. If I had to rely on my pet for that I'd be in trouble. But I have also heard good stories of pets like yours and I'm happy for you too.

Yes....my cats all make me feel like things are right with the world. My one female cat will smile when we pet her. Her mouth opens up and she shows her teeth. It's the greatest thing ever! My other female cat loves the bathroom and likes to headbutt you when you are......you know.....taking care of business. LOL She talks the whole time too. Our male cat is hilarious and is finding that living indoors is just fine with him. He is super friendly and lovey. All three give so much love.

I have always though that pets are a gift from God to show us an example of unconditional love, the kind of love that God has for us only infinitely more powerful.

Yes, I love my cat and understand feeling really close to her. Pets are a blessing from God and I believe they are meant to give us companionship and comfort. God does tell us to take care of them and loving them would be a part of that.

I get total unconditional love from God and from Jesus. What I get from my pets is companionship and a love that differes from the unmeasurable love I get from my savior Jesus, and from His father the Almighty God. Those two kinds of love aren't even close in comparrison. The love of a pet dies when they do, but God's love and Jesus love lives on for all eternity when you accept Jesus as your savior and become born again.

Animals are very much in touch with you and yes they do give a spiritual high. I lost two dogs last year and they visit me often and I still feel their presence.
I believ they are my angels.

No but I know the Lord made them Parakeets and theyre beautiful... I also have a bunny in my yard named Herbert and I talk to him whenever he comes and he is not afraid of me..
